2. General Conditions for Laboratory Services

2.1 Scope

These conditions apply to all services provided by World Health Laboratory (WHL). Any deviations require written approval.

2.2 Accreditation

We are accredited by CAP (College of American Pathologists). A detailed list of accredited tests is available upon request.

2.3 Quotes and Offers

Our offers are non-binding and valid for 30 days, unless stated otherwise.

2.4 Service Requests

  • Analysis requests must be submitted using our official request forms.
  • We may decline requests but will notify the client accordingly.

2.5 Liability

  • We follow clinical standards but do not guarantee specific results.
  • Our liability is limited to €25,000 per claim, except in cases of proven gross negligence.

2.6 Confidentiality

We comply with privacy laws but may use anonymized data for research or statistical purposes.

2.7 Samples and Storage

  • Clients must provide samples following our guidelines.
  • If we handle transport, we are not liable for lost or damaged samples.
  • Samples are stored per standard guidelines unless agreed otherwise.

  • Invoices must be paid within 14 days.
  • Disputes must be raised within 21 days via registered letter.
  • Late payments incur a 1% monthly interest charge.
  • Unpaid invoices may be handed to a third party for collection.

2.12 Complaints

We are committed to addressing complaints regarding our services.

2.13 Translations

In case of translation differences, the Dutch version takes precedence.

2.14 Legal Jurisdiction

Dutch law applies, and disputes will be handled in the Utrecht court.
